Who Can Submit

Researchers, practitioners, civil society professionals, journalists, students, early-career professionals, and independent contributors.

Word Length

• Opinion / Op-Ed: 800–1,200 words
• Analysis: 1,000–1,500 words
• Explainer: 800–1,300 words

Longer pieces may be considered if justified by content.

Writing Standards

Submissions must:

• Present clear and logical arguments
• Use evidence, law, data, or credible sources where applicable
• Maintain respectful and professional language
• Avoid hate speech, discrimination, or personal attacks
• Serve public understanding rather than partisan promotion

Reform-oriented or critical perspectives are welcome when grounded in sound policy reasoning and public-interest relevance.

Originality

All submissions must be original and unpublished. Prior sharing must be disclosed. Plagiarised or substantially reproduced content will not be accepted.

Editing Process

The editorial team may edit for clarity, request revisions, or decline submissions that do not meet standards. Edits will not change the author’s core argument.

Publication Rights

Authors grant PolicyInsight.pk a non-exclusive right to publish and archive accepted content with author credit. Authors retain full ownership of their work.

Response Timeline
